THERE IS NO POWER IN THE TEMPORAL

THERE IS NO POWER

IN THE TEMPORAL

Rev. Timothy Gardner

I am about to present some very radical thoughts to you which are imperative for us as spiritual practitioners to know. Father Hurley told us that, “All fear is banished in the name of the Living Christ, and there is no power that can hurt you. God is the one and only power.” In God’s realm there is no power in operation but him. His is the realm of “resist not evil; put up the sword; what hinders you; and the realm of, take no thought”. Jesus while on earth told us that we must “Seek ye first the kingdom of God (Spirit).” He is telling us to seek God, and in seeking God, we realize that there is only one Life, One Presence, One Power, and that the very thing we call evil, carnal mind, or temporal power; is nothingness! It has no reality! That’s right, anything of a discordant nature such as sin, sickness, lack, and death are not of God.

Evil has no reality, it is neither person, place, nor thing; but simply a belief. If sickness, sin, and earth were understood as nothing, they would disappear. The Holy Scriptures tell us that every thing that God made was/is good, and that God is too pure to behold iniquity. So anything of a discordant, inharmonious nature has no true existence. Both Jesus and Father Hurley while on earth showed us the unreality of death, sin, disease and lack. They showed that carnality has no life or power of it’s own. It is only our belief in something other than God, and when we realize the Omnipresence and Omnipotence of God, we resist not evil and put up the sword, for we realize that which we are battling is nothingness and has no reality. A great Hindu Saint used to say, “The wave is of the ocean and not the ocean the wave.” The wave has no reality of its own, for in reality, it is one with the ocean.

When any appearance of evil knocks at our door, we must approach it with our feet planted squarely on the floor and ask, “Is there another life, another power, another presence besides the One Life, the One Presence, the One Power (God)?” Jesus tells us in John 7:24, “judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.” Here it is telling us that we must rightly identify the situation and resist not the appearance and put up the sword. We must be still and realize the Omnipresence and Omnipotence of God. We must realize that there is but one enemy for us to overcome, and that enemy is ignorance.

I think at this time we should stop and define ignorance. Ignorance is defined as “lack of knowledge of something, without knowledge.” But to lack knowledge of what? To lack the knowledge of the treasure hidden within these earthly vessels (bodies). That right here in the midst of all this sin, disease, death, and lack; right here where we are is the Kingdom of God/Spirit, the presence of God, the Allness of God, the only health, supply, home, companionship, and employment we could ever need! Regardless to what form the enemy presents itself. It may appear as a lump in the breast; someone needing a job, or as the lack of money to pay a bill. We must still remember to resist not the appearance, to judge it not, to put up the sword and seek God. We must do as Jesus said in Matthew 7:1-2. “Judge not, lets ye be judged by the same measure of your judgment.” In short, if we accept a power or presence other than God, then the appearance we empower shall operate in our realm (life) as we will be subject to its law and control. Remember in Mark 5:8-9, when Jesus cast the demons out of the mad man, the demon, when he left the man said that his name was “legion”. Evil appears in many forms. It appears as sin, lack, death and limitation; but in reality it is only one! Still, regardless of the form, we must resist not and recognize its non-power and non-reality.

When we give up the fight and take the concepts of Omnipresence Omnipotence, and Omniscience into our mind, and let the understanding of them dwell in us, and we in them, God will appear as the very thing we need without our asking. Jesus told us to “take no thought for our life, what we shall ea or drink or where withal we shall b~ clothed.., for your heavenly Father knoweth you have need of these things. He constantly reminded us not to go to God and beg and plead for anything, He told us to not even be anxious for tomorrow, for it shall take care of itself if we abide in the consciousness of the Omnipresence and Omnipotence.

When we have a need, we must learn to withdraw into the awareness of the kingdom of God (Spirit) within, the presence of God within. We must come to the realization that we are already on with the Father. Then we will hear the Father telling us, “Son thou art alway with me, all that I have is thine.” This is the secret of supply. The secret of health. The secret of everlasting life. This is the secret, “I and the Father are one”. We must realize that the Lord is our shepherd already, and we shall not wan for all of the good we need is within ~ now! This is all we need to do is achieve this God-contact and re~ therein, and watch God become the visible form of the things we need without us taking thought or asking.

The Kingdom of God/Spirit Within

by Rev. Timothy Gardner, Sr. Asst. State Prince of Wisconsin

Jesus tells in the bible that the kingdom of God (Spirit) is at hand. It is within reach here and now! Immediately available! And, that we should first and foremost in our life seek to find this kingdom. But just what is this kingdom that he promises to give us and where is it located? In Romans 14:17, it states that the kingdom of God (Spirit) is not meat and drink, (it is not material things, not a material adobe, or place), but it is righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. So here we have the definition of the kingdom of God (Spirit): It is a state of everlasting peace, joy, happiness, and bliss in God, brought about by living in accordance to spiritual principles. The spiritual principles that recognize God as Omnipresent and Omnipotent. It is living in the conscious recognition of God as Omnipresence and Omnipotence. Jesus definitely located the kingdom of God (Spirit) in Luke 17:20-21, where we red ?and when he was demanded of the Pharisees when the kingdom of God (Spirit) should come, Jesus answered them saying, that the kingdom of God (Spirit) cometh not with observation, neither shall they say lo here or lo there for behold, the kingdom of God (Spirit) is within you. He said to look within you. To acknowledge its presence within you here and now.

People this is the doctrine that Jesus and Hurley came to show us. According to that great American mystic Joel Goldsmith, The kingdom of God (Spirit) is not in Holy teachers; it is not in Holy Temples; but the kingdom of God (Spirit) is within you and me. Therefore, we must relax from the search and acknowledge the presence of God right where we are. This is the importance for this statement; God is already there where you are. The very place whereon thou standest is Holy ground. Why? Because the presence of God is there. God is Omnipresent. So you do not have to spend time wondering how to reach him or how to bring him into your experience, or how to make yourself worthy of Him. For you move, live, and have your being in the realization that where you are God is!

Goldsmith proceeds to state that, It makes no difference whether you are sick, monetarily sinning, temporarily in lack or limitation, or even, if you are dying. Right where you are, God is. And your function is merely to keep remembering that. Don't try to make it happen because it is already has true. God is closer to you than your breathing. He is nearer than hands and feet. And we do not have to go anywhere to find Him. We need only to acknowledge Him. We need only to recognize that where we are God is. If we try to visualize something closer than our breathing, we shall understand that the very presence of God is right where we are. Psalms 139 tells us, ?Whither shall I flee from thy Spirit, wither shall I flee from thy presence.? The allness of the father is right here, right now, readily available by virtue of His omnipresence.

We must realize that because if Him being omnipresent there is no me, thee, and God, but only God. One life. One presence. One Power. The Master revealed to us the principle of our ?Oneness? with the Father in the 14th Chapter of St. John, where it reads, When Phillip demanded that Jesus reveal the Father to them, he stated Phillip have I been so long a time with you and yet thou hast not known me? He that hath seen me hath seen the Father, if you have known me, you would have known the Father also. I am in the Father and the Father in me.I speak not of myself, but of the Father that dwelleth within me, I and the Father are one. At the day ye shall know I am the Father, you in me, and I in thee. We are all one.

This was the Master's teaching. A teaching of oneness. The bottom line is, Jesus and Hurley told us where the Father is and that He is readily available if we change out thoughts, stop looking afar off, and realize that the kingdom of God (Spirit) is within you and me, right here, and right now. How are we to avail ourself of the kingdom? We must repent and turn from worldliness, and follow the spiritual doctrine. The holy scriptures tell us, be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, and also to let the mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus who thought it not robbery to be equal with God. We must cleanse the temple of our mind and rebuild our state of consciousness. Jesus gave us the formula for the cleansing process in the 15th Chapter of St. John where he tells us, Now ye are clean through the word I have spoken unto you, abide in me and I in you. He tells us we must abide in the conscious acknowledgement of our oneness with the Father. I and the Father are one, is not a state to be attained for it already is. And until we reach that state of consciousness we must let his word abide in us. We must consciously acknowledge his presence within us. We must dwell in the secret place of the Most High; not read about dwelling there; but we must dwell there. We must acknowledge the Omnipresence and Omnipotence of God constantly in our life.

In Deuteronomy 30:20, it says to, cleave unto God for He is thy life. We must realize that which I am seeking I already am. We must practice the presence of God. Our first thought in the morning should be, I and the Father are one and we should dwell on the meaning of this statement. All throughout the day we should take a passage of truth in our mind and dwell upon its meaning and its relationship to us. We must cultivate with practice a state of mind in which we constantly think of the Lord. We must reach that state of mind where we pray without ceasing, asking God to reveal Himself to us. We mist walk with God, talk with God, sleep with God, and live continuously in the conscious awareness of His presence.

We must learn to sit before God and meditate upon Him and His word. We must surrender ourselves to Him, and long for Him to reveal himself to us. Our longing must be as strong as that of a frowning man who is craving for air. II Chronicles 15:2 tells us, the Lord is with you, while you be found of you. But if you forsake Him, He will forsake you. So do you see that the responsibility of bringing the presence of God into conscious awareness in out life rests with us. We must be constantly aware of our relationship to out Father for it to be of benefit to us. Unless we are consciously aware of something it is of no benefit. To cite an example, the Laws of aerodynamics existed in Jesus' day, but the men of his time were not aware of them, but did their ignorance of these laws make them non-existent? No! But, they were of no avail until we become consciously aware of them and out them to use. In the same way, the kingdom of God (Spirit) is within you and I; and it is true

that God is right there where you are. But we must be consciously aware of His presence in order for it be of benefit to us.

It's Up To You

One song can spark a moment

One flower can wake the dream

One tree can start a forest

One bird can herald spring

One smile begins a friendship

One handicap lifts a soul

One star can guide a ship at sea

One word can frame the goal

One vote can change the world

One sunbeam lights a room

One candle wipes out darkness

One laugh can conquer gloom

One step must start each journey

One word must start each prayer

One hope will raise our spirits

One touch can show you care

One voice can speak with wisdom

One heart can know what?s true

One life can make the difference

You see it?s up to you.

Who Do You Say I am? Who Are You? What Are You? Do You Know the Real You?

Adaptation from April 2005 K.A.S.E. Convention Eulogy

Delivered by R.K. Timothy F. Gardner, Sr.,

Chapter #16, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Text: Matt. 16:13-20.

In this passage of scripture Jesus reveals a great mystical truth, which is his true identity; his true spiritual identity. But, not only his true identity; but our true identity as well. Jesus presents a paradox contrasting and comparing two points of view. One view, which is real and matters. The other, the opinion of the world. Through this Jesus shows us that it really doesn't matter what the world thinks of us, or whatever it is you may think of me. What matters is what I think, what I believe, and what I know to be truth. Like Jesus, Father Hurley told us to do our own thinking. Do not let some one else think for you. You must think for yourself. This does not mean that we are to resist or refuse instruction or guidance, but that we are to condition our thoughts to receive the message from the Spirit (God) no matter what form it may take.

Surely, this is not as simple as it sounds, and the scriptures tell us that all (everyone) is tried, tempted and tested. So why should we think that these things will not confront us in this day and age? How many times has the world tried your faith and integrity? When we decided to follow this great doctrine, we chose to take a stand for something. When you stand for something the world is going to try you. The world is going to test you?and in many instances give you a serious beat down. Why? Because the enemy has a purpose also, to seek and destroy those who have chosen to follow the doctrine of the living Christ.

Realizing his true state, Jesus the Christ asks his disciples, who does the world say I am? Can't you just hear people moaning, groaning, grumbling and complaining among themselves about you, and how you choose to live your life for God saying things like, who do they think they are? But, the wisdom and power of God has the answer: thou could have no power over me, except it is given from above. And, the Holy Scriptures tells us that power belongs to God.? This is the key. The scripture did not say that some power, or one kind of power, or even two powers it says, Power belongs to God! There is no power but of God. There is no power in the material world, unless it is given power by our false belief in a power other than God! This is the important point.

But, I must add a word of caution, you don't have to go out and advertise to the world that you believe in God. You have but to live your faith everyday and in every way. Remember, if you are truly in Christ you are a new creature inside and out. The way you use to think, you don't think no more! The way you use to walk, you don't walk no more! The way you use to act, you don't act no more!

We must let the wisdom and power of God become visible on the outside! We must let the spirit of the living Christ bring about the necessary change within our being. We must remember that in all things, it is the Spirit that doeth the works. We can hear the voice of our lord and savior, Father Hurley, crying out from his sacred altar saying to us, Saints of the Most High God, do you dare to know the Christ within? Do you dare to reveal the power of God within your body? I am impressed of the righteous spirit to remind you that the real you is not flesh and bone. The real you is God (Spirit) within! Again, I tell you that the real you is God! That, Great, Omnipotent, Omniscient and Omnipresent Spirit!

Some of you may be sitting and wondering, acting like you don't know what I am talking about. Know that it is not robbery to be equal with God. If you are willing to get self out of the way, the Spirit can use you and I to the fullest. Manifesting from the Source of all there is into your world, into my world, visibly. There is no other time than, the right now. Now is the time to come into the knowledge of who you are, what you are, who God is, and where God is. Do not get caught up in wanting. Wanting keeps self at the forefront of your experience, instead of the wisdom and power of God. Rather than wanting many different things, desire only one thing, and that is God.

Therefore, if you have need of protection, have God. For God is protection. If you have need of health, have God. For God is health. If you have need of money, have God. For God is abundance. Whatever it is, stop praying to your concept of a God that is sitting on some heavenly throne way up in the air. For God sits on the throne of your heart! The Spirit knows all things, and is available to you. For God is the Omni-Source within you! Just dare to realize right now that God is all there is, and you find all you need is in the Spirit! Peace.
